Sanding & Buffing: Encore robotic sanding and buffing systems utilize the Encore multi-headed tool as well as off the shelf sanding equipment to provide robotic sanding and/or buffing to the full exterior surface of vehicles as well as vehicle components/parts: The Encore system integrates automatic paper changers to remove, replace and validate paper changes. Dust removal systems can also be integrated to remove residual material left behind the sanding process. Encore systems offer automatic tool change capabilities to provide additional flexibility for the sanding process. When combined with defect detection the entire process of seek and finesse can be totally automated.
A replacement for traditional melt sheets or bitumen mats, liquid-applied sound deadener material or LASD is a rubber-based acoustic insulating material that is sprayed onto car bodies prior to the sealer oven. It significantly reduces the noises transmitted via vibrating metal in the vehicle. TKS is a General Contractor for building industrial manufacturing plants, offering turn-key services including project management, construction site supervision, oversight of skilled trades and subcontractors, quality assurance, start-up, commissioning, and spray trials.

TKS’ electrical engineering department works with many manufacturers including Spang, Controlled Power, and more. TKS provides a variety of types of anodes: solid, flushing, roof-, wall-, and floor-mounted. We also design and provide the anolyte system. We can offer either individual parts of the paint process or a comprehensive system including paint spray booths, robot systems, paint circulation systems, conveyor systems, and VOC Abatement systems to control and reduce CO2 and NOx from painting facilities.
All four major ovens: E-coat oven, Sealer oven, (optional) Primer oven, and Topcoat oven all consist of heat-up and hold zones. In a 3-wet paint booth process arrangement, there isn’t a Primer oven, instead a heated flash off (HFO) is used. Sometimes there are also smaller ovens for black-out and cavity wax. We offer a paint-drying oven that responds to temperature increases in body areas. The oven design will increase heating in zones of thick parts, such as sill inners or pillars where it is difficult to dry paints, while maintaining the temperature of keep-zones with a minimized flow rate to reduce dirt contamination and reduce energy usage.
