When it comes to Sunday roasts, London has something for every taste (if that taste is for comforting mounds of carbs in the colder months). But if meat makes your meal, head to Hawksmoor. Holy cow, the British-reared rump of beef is delicious, cooked to a rosy medium-rare – first over charcoal, then in the oven. It’s served with potatoes roasted in dripping, greens, carrots and roasted shallots, plus lashings of bone-marrow gravy. Your slot. Make sure you arrive well before 5pm to ensure you don’t miss this crowd-pleaser. When the roasts are gone, they’re gone.

The loftiest peak in all of the British Isles, towering a staggering 4,411 feet (1,345m), is the best-known of all of Scotland’s majestic Munros, which are mountains over 3,000 feet (914m) high. Once an active volcano that exploded and collapsed into itself millions of years ago, Ben Nevis is set in the northwest Highlands, near the town of Fort William. The landscape here is incredibly dramatic with numerous walking trails up or around the hulking mountain that lead past picturesque lochs and glacial valleys. Visible from 23 miles (37km) away, this 560-foot-tall (171m) tower on Portsmouth’s historic harbour was designed to celebrate the new millennium. Various delays meant it didn’t open until 2005 but the striking structure has been a hugely popular attraction ever since. With its views of the Solent and beyond from its vertiginous Sky Deck, it is one of Britain’s best viewing towers.

The Cotswolds cover some 787 square miles and encompass parts of some of England’s prettiest counties: Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Worcestershire, and Warwickshire. And all of it begs to be explored. Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty due to its rare limestone grassland habitats and old-growth beech woodlands, the beauty of the Cotswolds has much to do with its quaint villages and towns, such as Castle Combe, Chipping Norton, and Tetbury. Like so much of England, the Cotswolds is perfect to discover on foot. One of the best routes is along the Cotswold Way, a 102-mile footpath with spectacular views of the Severn Valley and the Vale of Evesham. This route runs the length of the Cotswolds, and can be picked up pretty much anywhere you visit. Find more information at Airport Pick Up.

As the travel industry reopens following COVID-19 shutdowns, TPG suggests that you talk to your doctor, follow health officials’ guidance and research local travel restrictions before booking that next trip. We will be here to help you prepare, whether it is next month or next year. Like New York, London is a huge city full of endless things to do and see. And with that comes lots and lots (and lots) of people. The city can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, especially for first-time visitors with its fast-paced hustle and bustle. Also, like New York, it’s wonderful to “escape” the city by chilling out in a beautiful park or green space.

UK airport transfers also have some of the finest line of cab fleets in Europe. The cabs that are sent for pick up and drop services are impeccably clean, spacious, well maintained, with smooth engines that ensure a comfortable ride for the passenger. Based on your requirements, i.e. whether you are alone or if not, how many individuals are travelling with you, the company will send a car along with any other needs or requests that you might have.

One way to do this is to pack a gun and declare it. Another alternative is to pack a toy pistol (still needs a declaration) but no license, of course! It actually does not get special treatment because it just needs to be securely locked. So it really does work in stopping the airport luggage thieves at least. But think twice about this if you are travelling from or to a state which has strict gun laws. Examples are New York, Hawaii, California and Illinois. You could end up in prison! You must be joking! Well, I am not actually, because there are passengers who prefer to do this, rather than stay at a hotel and get up at the crack of dawn. They are saving on the hotel bill. Also emergencies and bad weather may force you to have a long overnight layover. They say that London’s Stanstead airport looks like a refugee camp every night. People complain bitterly that there is not enough seating when they arrive at 10.p.m. If you decide this is for you, keep in mind the following tips.

Gatwick Airport Transfers Gatwick is the second largest international airport in London. It is also considered second busiest by the total passenger traffic in London. OH MY GOD. When you arrive in the South Terminal make a beeline for the bathrooms on the right just before you hit Boots and M&S. They are incredible! Basically each stall has its own sink, hand drier, and little storage area. They are HUGE. I’m 99.9% sure that some of them are bigger than most London apartments. I know it’s a little weird to be so impressed with a bathroom, but I have a tiny bladder so I always pay attention to them. Good job to whoever designed these! I loved the TV, it’s in the wall at the foot of the bed so it makes it super cosy and enclosed. You can book rooms for just 4hrs if you have a transfer, or as long as you need. Standard cabins start from £37 per night.
