You must see Ibiza at least once and villa rentals

Do you need to bath in the sun ? Ibiza is an amazing place to relax. What can you see in Ibiza? Island of Es Vedra: This uninhabited island off the southwest coast of Ibiza is protected as a natural park. You can get there by boat from San Antonio or Ibiza Town, while the water sports centres around the island organise jet-ski tours or snorkelling excursions here. It’s a beautiful, almost otherworldly place; a rugged island with a monolithic slab of sheer limestone that crests at 413 metres. Climb ashore and bring your camera to capture the drama of the landscapes and the wildlife including goats, lizards and falcons.

On the northernmost coast of the island is Portinatx, a resort with three spectacular beaches. The largest is the sandy S’Arenal Gros, and the other two more private, less crowded options are S’Arenal Petit and Playa Porto. All three boast lifeguards, vendors and sunbeds. While you can just kick back and relax on the beach, Portinatx is very popular with snorkelers and divers thanks to its clear waters. It is a great family spot, and it is the ideal place to begin longer coastal walks. Best of all, most hotels in the area are within a short walk of at least one of the three main beaches.

Es Vedra is a rocky and uninhabited island, standing 413m high, just off the south-west of Ibiza. A mythical place, folk-lore says not only that it is the third most magnetic place on earth, but that it is the birthplace of Phoenician goddess Tanit, and that it was home to the sirens and sea nymphs who tried to lure Ulysses from his ship in Homer’s Odyssey. The island is also the setting for the local fable Es Gegant des Vedra (the giant of Es Vedra) about two brothers who go to the island to search for a cure for their father’s illness and come face to face with a giant. Mythology aside, Es Vedra is a stunning place to take some pictures or watch the sun go down.

Of course, the absolute best way to explore anywhere is to nab yourself a local to show you the ropes. Or maybe, you’re after some backpacking pals to explore the island with.
