In WIRES history we have never seen a concurrent series of emergencies events like those that began in November. Hundreds of fires over weeks have burnt over 4 million hectares of land in NSW alone. Following on from my A’Levels, I was awarded a place at Staffordshire University, UK, to study Fine Art, and decided to defer my degree until 2014 so that I could travel to the Far East during my gap year.
